What the committee does

Executive Cabinet is the overarching, decision-making committee within STM. It's chaired by Harry Burr, Chief Executive, and is attended by all "Cabinet Executives" who lead on certain subjects and connectivity group areas.

General Officers, who lye underneath the Executive Cabinet, report to Cabinet Executives that their role relates to. A list of Cabinet Executives is available to the right of this scope.

Chief Executive

Harry Burr is a 15 year-old sustainable transport promoter/campaigner. He’s currently Chief Executive at Sustainable Transport Midlands, as well as Project Executive of Daventry Parkway Project.

Thomas Haines

Cabinet Executive for the East Midlands

Thomas Haines was born in the Vendee (France) in early 2004, and this is where he believes he fell in love with railways – despite there being none! He moved to the Midlands in 2014, and has called Derbyshire his home ever since.
